Designing the winning
visual strategy for
a modern city
Background
In 2016, the City of Pilsen, known for its progressive spirit and as the birth place of the world's best beer, initiated
a competition for a new logo and visual communication. The goal was visual unity across the city, involving all organizations and tourism. The winning concept was created by me and my former colleagues at Dynamo Design.
Pilsen goes
its own way
In key historical moments, Pilsen consistently chose a modern, Western direction, reflecting its geographic and spirited alignment. Inspired by its eclectic and vibrant nature, we created a playful and dynamic visual identity clearly reflecting the Western orientation of the city.
The new identity
was applied to all
city organizations.
The City Profile and
all other promotional materials underwent
a redesign too.
