WORKSHOP BOX
Directing the graphic system
for a complex
development tool
Background
Workshop Box is a development tool, enhancing team communication through a series of workshops. Containing eight boxes with various tasks, it facilitates mutual self-awareness among team members. Serving as an alternative to external trainers. I had the fortune of joining the creator team in 2019. My responsibilities included crafting the visual identity, packaging and providing creative direction for the project. WB is powered by Happiness at Work and Red Button.
Bold logo as the
main base for the
visual identity
The logo serves as the foundation for the entire visual identity. Its black rectangle resembles one of the boxes, providing a basis for a typographic system that uses text highlighting to aid in quick recognition of graphic elements across a wide range of prints.
The highlighting
system helps users in recognizing between numerous print objects.
The text highlighting
in the worksheets boosts clarity too.
Writing, drawing, cutting. Hands lead the way, inspiring print navigation and visual style too.

Measure twice, cut once. Time for prototyping.
Prototyping packaging and print content was a year-long process. We searched for the right materials and print techniques. It involved collaboration with four different print producers to find the best fit for our atypical box format and limited print run. Extensive content testing led to numerous text and format revisions. The result is hand-made boxes filled with easy-to-use custom print materials.
Every inch of a paper has a purpose
With a large scale of print materials, our goal was to be eco-friendly as much as possible. We maximized paper usage, repurposing paper sleeves as introductions to each box and the boxes themselves as functional tools. This posed a challenge as I had to present information minimally and clearly in a visually non-disruptive manner within limited space.
The nine independent
boxes are connected by magnets also serving as aid for hanging it on a magnetic board.
All boxes contain diverse print materials serving different tasks.
It was necessary to unify formats, paper types, printing techniques and provide detailed print scheme to the producers.

"When we first opened the boxes, we were pleasantly surprised. The design and practicality of the Workshop Box are thought out to the last detail."

WB aims to develop
a "Team Scoreboard" that reflects the skills of all team members.
The goal is to get to know each other and yourself better, while also having fun.
Special thanks to
the great WB team.
